Mapa da Mina
The 108 stores of CVC, Brazil's largest travel company, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul sell exclusive allotments: seats on flights and hotel rooms that CVC buys in advance, to secure space and price. Finding the right one depended on knowing where to look. Mapa da Mina brings the whole catalogue into a single search: origin, departure, nights, availability and the itinerary appear together, one click away from the booking.
What it does
- Search
- One search box for destination, airline or allotment code, filters by destination, departure month and availability, and tabs for domestic, international, Gaúchos pelo Mundo and cruises.
- Availability
- Each departure shows how many seats are left, and the last one is flagged so the stores know to hurry.
- Gaúchos pelo Mundo
- A space of its own for the special groups leaving from Rio Grande do Sul, with seats sold, seats left and a waiting list for new departures.
- Itinerary and booking
- The eye opens the group: allotment code, departure, nights, seats, the day-by-day itinerary and extra material. From there, one button opens the booking in Atlas, CVC's reservation system.
- Marketing
- The artwork being boosted on social media, searchable by title, destination or tag and filtered by campaign, such as best prices and international.
- Suppliers
- Quick contacts for CVC's partners, split into hotels, ground services, travel insurance, airlines and cruises, with a search by hotel, destination or representative.

Measuring the effect
After the launch, allotment sales grew far more than the rest of the business. Part of that comes from supply, with more international and higher-value allotments, but passenger volume also started gaining share from August, like an adoption curve. As every store uses the portal, the next step is to compare with states without it.
